8/30/04 Hello ....como estan todos ustedes? Well we're winding down to the last few days of recording and it sounds pretty tits. Anybody that wants to participate in the fatigo choir on White Bear e-mail ASAP! Word Laterz

8/23/04 Hello Der.....well we're about 3/4ths finished with the new cd. It sounds really good so far. Greg is like a mad scientist with his mics and vintage pre-amps. We played at our second wedding last night..it was pretty cool. I had my first vegetarian empanada. Kevin (new trumpet player) is working out great. He has a great ear and he sounds spectacularly on the new recording. later

8/12/04 Hello and thanks for visiting our crizzle (crib). A few things goin on: 1)We are about halfway throught the recroding process. Soundtracks studio is the biggity. I'm going in tonight to do vocals si Dios quiere (if it's in God's plan) 2)We have a trumpet player named Kevin Cardoso. He jumped on stage after a few practices and is also the biggity. 3) For anyone interested in Song Portraits, I've been required to call them something else so please refer to them as TOYA-GRAMS from this point forward. 4)The dog is doing great. He had his first pedicure. 5) Next show is 8/17 at the Sail Inn in Tempe. Word Mike

7/27/04 We've started recording the new album. It sounds great so far...this is our first time recording to 2 inch tape and it rules. John's drums sound like so good I think I'm going to splode. 7/31/04 we're at the Hollywood alley...check the calendar! Mike

Greetings and ..well greetings. If you've been in touch with me lately, you would know that the fine blues bar I worked at (Monroes) is closed. There are rumors of a grand-re-opening ,but I don't hear the phone ringing..and I'm done with the logging off (dial up) just to see if there are messages from those peeps. Anyhow, my favorite songwriter STEW (The Negro problem) had a great idea that I thought I could borrow. ... here it is: SONG PORTRAITS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ok basically if you have a special someone (girlfriend, brother, sister, boss....probably a fan of fatigo) that you'd like to give a unique gift to, I can create (with your help) a one of a kind song for that person. Maybe you have an anecdote of rolling down a hill in a tire into a swamp that you'd like to immortalize or maybe you just want that person to know that you notice things you never told 'em (yeah I'll go there). Basically, you fill out a form that kind of outlines the person: fav colors, hobbies, likes, dislikes, unique characteristics, fav music (might have a bearing on song genre)....favorite story...bla bla bla ...and for a negotiable price I'll 1) Write the song 2) Record it ( yah I got some gear....I figured before i sell it...might as well use it) 3) Package it (It'll look cool..no really...no really) 4) Perform it (if scheduling and distance permits) at their ...whatever the occasion is. Anyhow, e-mail me if you're interested. If you'd like one by Stew, I'll get you in touch with him...just don't tell him where I live. P.S Writing the song in Spanish is a possibility...also Fatigo reserves the right to perform, and distribute this song....names can be changed if that's an issue...peace Mike Montoya

7/19/04 Ok ...I'm waiting on a call from the city to see whether I got this job or not. If so I'll be stoked cause then I can go buy the Ruby Lee Cd sometime soon. I went to an open-mic at Seamus Mcaffreys (Monroe & Central) last night...It was pretty cool...everyone else was playing blues or Irish folk stuff ,but I think fatigo music falls between those two genre's somehow...or maybe not...anyhow it went well. I miss going to open-mics... i used to go to one almost every night of the week. My little brother Rafi is moving right along with his songwriting..he has like nine originals now and they whoop on my first songs I ever wrote...actually they whoop on some of the songs I'm working on now. I'm mega-stoked...we're heading into the studio this friday to start on our full length....I think this is the third or fourth time we've decided to start on our full length..FOR REALS THIS TIME!!!!!!!!! MArisa and I adopted a dog that was left at a Safeway....we thought he was going to die, but he seems to be coming along just fine. He's starting to realize he's a dog now. He found his favorite corner of the house to poo in!!!! Oh yeah he plays fetch also. Our next show is Saturday July 31st at the Holly wood Alley...our friends, THAT MAD AHAB, are coming out from San Diego again and Good Night From Twilight (phx) is going to kick off the night. Both of these bands rock so I hope you get to witness that. I think I'm going to go get another cup of coffee....see you soon! Mike

I'me trying to mix down some 4-track recordings we (my pops his pals and my little bros)made this past Christmas of a bunch of Mariachi songs and some others. We did a version of Dormido with my bro Rafi on the upright bass. Any way HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAPA! Big show this friday at the Hollywood Alley (Baseline and price) with Whiskey-Girl and The Nowhere MAn, That Mad AHAB, and The Modest Proposal. Laterz Mike

02/16/03 Yo Mike represented Fatigo in Oaklan on Thursday and played with The Red Pony Clock and Our Lady of the Highway at the Oakland Metro. He really thinks he's cool leaving the rest of the band in Az......he's lucky he's so guapo or I'd sock him.

2/8/03 Hey ya'll we're playing tonight at Rio Salado Beer Co. at 9PM....be der! Mike

1/24/04....I mean

1/24/03 Hello visitor. So far so good. We have yet another new bassplayer. His name is Tato (ex-hypnotwists)and I'm honored to play with the guy. We're trying to get started on the new Fatigo CD ....maybe we'll just record it with a boombox or something. We're playing on Monday at Monroe's (SW corner of central and Monroe) for a latin night. My friend Chris mendoza is trying to get that ball rolling. We've been selling an EP with 4 songs at our shows..WHite Bear, Dormido, Harps and SAndals, Seven signs are the chosen four...the EP song lists usually change depending on our mood do there are a few different ones floating around out there. Each individual CD's packaging is usually different...I was told this justifies selling a 4 song CD for $5. I've never slept better. Come see us with the Sweetbleeders and Las Lutas (SF) at Aux (5th ave and Monroe) on 2/19. Show starts at 9:30 Love Mike

12/31/03 Well it's been a pretty eventful year for us...we actually got off our butts and played in Cali and Oregon..I'm mega stoked. Thanks to everyone that supported us including our ever-changing cast of players. Also a special thanks to all of our shizz-folk. Rock On ...Mike

12/8/03 hey ferni says hi..and he's says thanks for going to the shows this past weekend..next up is us and Modest proposal at the paper-heart on 12/11 and then on 12/18 we're opening for DEVOTCHKA at nita's hideaway..woo-hooo. We're playing in califas the next day and my little bro Rafi is coming out to play with us. i keep emphasizing to him not to make an ass of himself and us at the DEVOTCHKA show. Buenoe Pues..laters

12/1/03Hey ya'll this is a last minute reminder that we're playing at Monroe's (Central & Monroe)with Goldenboy and Rum Tenor tonight. RT will kick it off at 9:30 and GB is playing in the middle. We're gonna top this one off for you. Wee. Later Mike $3

11/19/03 Hey that last show ruled...RPC and TMA truly represented SD in full effect. This weekend (11/22)I'm gonna go play with Stew in oakland at the Oakland Metro (Jack London Square). I'm mega-stoked off of this.Word Mike

11/10/03 Ok if you're getting this e-mail it's kind of a heads up for a very very special show this weekend. We made some friends in a band called Red Pony Clock and another band called That Mad Ahab. they're both from San Diego and we really bonded with them out there. RPC has been compared to They Might be Giants with a Mariachi twist (I know..it sounds like I'm describing Fatigo) and TMA is kinda like Hilly-Billy Quirk-core. Crystal Clear right? Anyhow, I'm really excited about this show and I think Fatigo fans would really like these bands....so maybe we'll see you there? Friday 11/14 FATigo, That Mad Ahab, Red Pony Clock 9:30 Pm @ The Hollywood Alley (baseline & price) 480 820 7117 www.redponyclock.com www.thatmadahab.com www.theshizz.org

11/9/03 HEY Ya'll GO to the Hollywood Alley 11/14/03 and check out FAtigo with Red Pony Clock and That MAD Ahab (San Diego friends). SHow Starts at 9:30

11/4/03 Ok I have time right now so I'm going to devote it to this. First off thanks for coming to the site. Let me think ...fatigo news..hmmm..well we played in california again..with no car problems this time. we weren't able to take the whole FO(Fatigo Orchestra0 ,but we made it work ..thanks mostly to robin Vining for picking up the slack on the melodica, accordion and bass. While we were in Sand Diego we met a cool band called That Mad Ahab and we got to visit with our friends from Red Pony Clock. The cool thing is both of those bands are coming to AZ to play with us at the alley soon (CHeck Calenadar). Next we went to San Jose and played at this place called cafecito. It's a Mexican restaurant/coffee shop. It was cool we kinda toned it down there. After that we went to Sf and played at th Hotel utah. I really like that place..it's an old hotel with a really cool atmosphere. ..we made a few friends there and didn't really want to leave. After that we headed down to Flag and joined our brothers in Vin-Fiz for a rowdy night of ShizzFoolery. I think Mike Devine doing the bullfight dance was the funniest thing I've ever seen....ever....anyhow. we're playing this friday at First Friday at Holgas (south of 3rd st & Roosevelt) around 9:30 PM...maybe we'll see you there?

10/22/03 RIP Elliot!

10/2 Played some spanish songs at Patriots Square for the Homeless people today....it was pretty Coolio. Tomorrow we're playing at ThoughtCrime (Central & Roosevelt). I think we're on at around 9. We'll have the new Fatigo Risque fashion line available. We had a pretty cool show at Monroe's last night. Rock on Mike

9/11/03 It's good to be alive today. Peace! Mike

9/8/03 It feels good to have 2 weeks between today and the next gig. I'm so ready to whip out the new material and record the old and semi-new stuff....I guess it's not even semi-new if it's 6 months old..I guess a car would be. This past weekend was cool. I went and saw my friend's band, Cascabel, kind of a Gypsy Kings meets Buena Vista Social Club..at Sokalo. They had some Brazilian stuff too..and Capo-Wera dancers. I invented a new dance move called the Salmon. It resembles the "Po-Go" ,but the key is when you get to the peak of your jump...shake your head and body like salmon swimming upstream. On Sunday I went and saw Donald at Mill Ave Beer company and some really funny guys from Modest Proposal mag.....get one..at least a days worth of hilarious reading. Then I went to the alley for Ian's Open Mic. It seems like it's getting some attention ...this is a good thing. Some other stuff...John DLC and I are the rhythm section for the Sweetbleeders now and I'm totally honored .we're gearing up for our second tour ..check the dates and tell your friends!!!!! Later Mike

8/30/03 Today is the Shizz Comp release party! Woo-hoo!! I called Donald Martinez (SHIZZ KINGPIN) at 10:30 am and he was already at the modified. He said he was there at 6:30 ....he sounded really wired. Anyhow, I figured since we just got back from our first tour I better put something in the journal. I had every intention of making a daily tour journal, but those of you that know me know that I've had a few "every intentions". I think Robin Vining (accordian, melodica, ...elec and upright bass on tour) Was writing stuff down as it happened. Well, the tour overall was a sucess. We took my 78 ford Ltd with a trailer and played our first show in Eugene Oregon (Sam Bond's Garage). We were like 3 hours late ,but they still let us play. By that time we were all shaky and tired from driving 22 hours straight and weren't even sure if they would let us play. It was a very sloppy first set but we were unbelievably happy to be on stage. we missed our show in Sacramento the next night because the alternator burnt out. Luckily we had an extra one in the trunk that got us back on the road. Anyway, we alot of other cool stuff happened like we got to check out John Vanderslice's studio (Tiny Telephone)in S.F ,but I think we'll organize all of these thoughts on theshizz calendar. Just click on the fatigo gigs from 8/14-8/24. GO TO THE MODIFIED AT 4pm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Word Mike

8/29/03 Thanks to everyone that went to the Emerald show last night! Go to the Shizz Comp release party tomorrow!!!!!4pm! Mike

8/3/03 We Have Shirts!!!!!!!!!!! $10!! E-mail me for more info!!!!!!!!!!! mIKE

7/25/03 Hello lots of stuff going on lately...we played in Bisbee with Whiskey Girl and The Nowhere Man (Briefcase) and I think I fell in love with that town. Maybe I'm a miner. Anyhow It was a great show and we're going back in September. We miss Derek And Amy. Last night we played at the Paper Heart with Red Pony Clock (San Diego) and I think we've found our sister band . They're so quirky and great and awesome and stuff. We're playing with them in San Diego on august 10th so check em out www.redponyclock.com. The fatigo tour is almost totally booked. Booking a tour is fun! UN! ..no it's not at all but it's fun to play so it's a good trade-off. Keep yer eyes on the calendar. We have shizz compilations for $5.....if you don't know what the shizz is you bettah aks someone. Let me know if you want one. And lastly...we're playing a last minute show with Soul Trax at the Emerald Lounge (7th ave and Mcdowell) tonight. I think we're going on around 11.........Have a good weekend! 7/3/03 Ok how's everyone? last night we played at the Emerald Lounge with the Fiendish Thingies and it was pretty sweet. The Whole fatigo "Orchestra" was there...I don't even know if I've mentioned this on the site so i will. We're accumlating a cast of characters that sit in with our band once in a while and make us sound more sophisticated...we have Robin Vining on the accordion and melodica, Jesse Maxwell on the trumpet, and Jimmy Vespa on trumpet. It's a pretty full sound with all of 'em on stage. Our new bass player ,Fred, has really carved a niche in our band and hearts. He played a french song last night that made all the ladies make the O face. I'm almost done booking the Fatigo West coast tour. This is happening the second week of august. My friend ian is having an open mic at the alley on sunday, 7/6 and my brothers are going to play while they're in town. i think that's about all of the news I can think of right now...my fingers feel heavy..oh yeah tomorrow (7/4)we're rocking at the Brickhouse with Soul Trax at around 10. The Brickhouse is in downtown Phoenix.....later ya'll Mike

i mean 7/2 and 7/4....me on crack...meow meow

6/21/03 I'm sorry it's been a while. I saw Bryan Regan tonight...my fav comedian. I think it must be harder than writing songs....being a comedian i mean. I hear the shizz Comp is in our presence...this is good. Fatigo has gone through some personnel changes in the past two months, but at the last practice I felt something good stewing..kinda that feeling when you know you cooked the omelet just right. The Fatigo summmer tour is being worked on...more to come...4/2 (w/fiendish Thingys)at the Emerald and 4/4 w(soul Trax)at The Brickhouse. Thanks for all of your support lately. Mike

5/13/03 This Saturday (5/17)fatigo will rock north of crack corner at Fatcats with The Heartgraves & Robin Vining.Rumor has it that they're initiating the new bassplayer that night. Peepit....word

4/14/03 Wow ..the New Times Showcase beat the crap out of me. Thank you Dan Cortez for the Top Secret Info about the VIP tent. Thank you everyone that came to see us play. We were able to catch, The RastaFarmers, Go Reflex, HotfoughtcOLd, hypnotwists, fifteenminutesfast, and pazport...it was alot of fun. 3/20/03 WWhoops...the gig @ PI is Saturday!!!!!

3/19/03 Ok this friday we're playing at the Priceless Inn with Stew and Heidi from TNP. The PI has never felt our wrath so let's see if it holds up. 3/11/03 Hey folks....I'd like to give thanks for the folks that went to our last few shows. Our show with Pinga at the Emerald was pretty cool. Pinga rocked and they were nice guys to. Peep their sounds ya'll. The Art Detour show was really sweeet. I didn't get a chance to go on friday ,but I heard it was right on. It was nice seeing the Minibosses play. It brought back memories of tuna -avocado sandwiches at the Hollywood Alley. Thanks for sticking around to watch us! So there are some cool shows throughout this whole week and weekend. I believe the Heartgraves are playing with WCT at the Emerald tomorrow night and on saturday The Budget Sins,Braeburn, and Vin Fiz are at the Paper heart. I know I missed something so check the calendar. Tonight John Vanderslice (awesome songwriter from SF) is playing at The Modified at 8:30 Sharp. If you're into well written songs that don't suck ...GO TO This SHow!!!!! See you there! Mike

3/4/03 I'm back from SF. I went as fatigo's ambassador to Cafe Dunord and played a few songs. It was cool...I want go back. This thursday we're playing at The Emerald Lounge with Pinga. Come watch the funk be freaked...Show starts at 10:30....word

2/22/03 Greetings....tonight is a special one. The Overtones Stew (TNP-L.A) Fatigo 9:30 Pm @ The Hollywood Alley Word. NE corner of Baseline & Price

2/18/03 Wow...it looks like a busy 2/22 (saturday). Lot's of great bands playing (see calendar) at different places. Unfortunately, you're going to have to choose. As much as I love all of my chronies in World Class Thugs, Colorstore, and After Any Accident...it's my job to campaign for your attention. This Saturday at the Hollywood Alley we're opening up the show for Stew (TNP-L.A),and The Overtones. We're playing at 9:45ish and I hear there might be a special twist at the end of the show. Come intensify the suspense with some Alley Tacos and Alley Beer. Or maybe you like Alley wine. I hear The Alley has the most romantic wine around and the cook (Eric) squashes the grapes himself all Euro-style with his suspenders on and stuff. One time he was hopping around in the tub and broke his ankle. The wine tasted different that year. I think it tasted like pain. BE THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2/12/03 Well we made it through the weekend. Holgas was awesome...if you don't know you better ask somebody. This band called The Lovelies played and we're gonna try and hook up a show with them very soon. Luna had a fashion show and it made me warm inside. Saturday at the Willow House was the sweeeeet yet smoky. This girl told me it was so smoky she had to go outside to smoke a cig. Stew delivered as he always does and Briefcase made a surprise performance...yes they're back ..they're in Bisbee with the Circus -Folk. The SPAM (Shizz Presents Acoustic Mayhem) on Sunday night was cool for a few different reasons. Pete from "Death Takes a Holiday" played and Fred from Minibosses crooned in french. I don't think I can ever say anything bad about the Hollywood Alley. I'd like to wish Happy Birthday to my little bro MArio and a belated Birthday to me mum. i'm a bad son. I'm grounded.

2/1/03 Last night at the Alley was off the hiznook. I curbed the beer intake and just enjoyed all of the music with crystal clear claritahh. If you didn't make it to the Shizz show last night, you'll hear about it soon. There was a girl taking pictures and I don't know who she is. if anyone knows her can you tell her to email Fatigo? Thank you everyone for the support last night. This weekend (7,8,9) is gonna be busy. On friday the 7th we're playing at Holga's artist Studio with Lovely for "First Friday". On Saturday come see Stew and Fatigo set it off at The Willow House...and Sunday I another SPAM (Shizz Presents Acoustic Mayhem). I know it's alot to take in...go ahead you can eat the whole thing...I won't judge you. Peace Mike P.S Thanks Ross you rule.

1/30/03 Ok this is it. Tomorrow night 1/31/03 is a night to celebrate. We've survived one month of the new year and we're starting a new season of American Idol. No shame here...I got sucked into it. Augh!!! No excuses. Well, everyone is gonna be at The Hollywood Alley so I thought I'd fill you in (Does this type of marketing work?). Here's the Line-up..... Fatigo Employee of The Moth Braeburn The World Class Thugs The show starts at a punctual 9:30 pm....um Baseline and Price are the crossstreets. Come and watch the Shizz serve it up propah! ( I'm an idiot) www.theshizz.org.

1/26/03 Hello it's super-bowel sunday. I'm at work right now. There's a cool play called " Beneath the Lintel" going on in our theatre ,but only like -10 people here to see it. Thanks to everyone that peeped the Modified show on friday. It was nice to see all the old and new chronies. This friday is going to be pretty hip. We have The World Class Thugs, Braeburn, Employee of the Moth, and Fatigo at The Hollywood Alley. This is like my dream line-up for a show and I don't want anyone to miss it. We're gonna do the Fatigo street team thing (AKA Super COOL Freedom Posse) at the Coldplay concert on February 9th. If you'd like to be a part of that e-mail us. See you friday..

1/24/03...is what I meant . Damn Time Machine. Time travel is lonely.

3/24/04 Well I missed the Budget Sinatra show last night. I was operating on 3 hours of sleep..after working all day ,then practicing...I could barely stand. It was time for mi-mis. Sorry Budget-friends. Tonight is the true Incestival. all of the bands playing at the Modified have members that played in bands with eachother before. If you bring a chart showing all of the connections and past bands, you get a free Fatigo cd. I doubt that anyone will get em allright tho'. OOh Challonge! 8:30....Be there!

1/22/03 Hello...I can't believe we've's been playing this many shows in January. I guess It's a good way to start the year. The new times included us in an article about Cdbaby this week. Much thanks goes out to Chris O'Connor. For those of you not aware of what CDbaby is and does...check out the article. Here are some cool bands that I've found on there: Cocktail Angst (Very loungy with funny lyrics. Like crack to my ears.), The Vitamen (Oh my gosh hilariously dirty lyrics that don't go overboard. Very cool harmonies), Wladimir Pinto (Great latin Compositions for children and adults. Very authentic Salsa, Cumbia, Merengue and more...the twist is that his songs are educational ..like a song about Christopher Columbus and songs about animal..He's like The Latin They Might Be Giants. Yeah...I thought we were to.) Pepe & The Bottle Blondes (This is a must buy. It's kinda like The Squirrel Nut Zippers with more Latin and a side of Sass), Bla Kongo (Kinda loungy..sort of like The Cardigans ..really well written songs..also Swedish), Shrine for The Black Madonna (Very gothic Metal with a cuban twist. The singer sounds like Dracula. I don't know which Dracula ...I want nothing to do with that debate..even tho' I am the master..,Depoet and The Monkey ( I think this is my fav on cdbaby right now. This guy is a great songwriter..kinda like David Bowie mixed with Byrne ,but not quite..definitely check it out), Cat's a Bear (Nice Mathematical Jazz...get out your calculator or something) Anyways, It seems like there is something for everyone on the site. Check it holmes www.cdbaby.com. Word Mike

12/15/03 Hello . Fatigo, Liberty School, and another band are playing at The Vaudeville Cabaret in Tucson this Thursday night. We'll probably do an acoustic set at The Grille next door right before the show at 8ish. Peace

1/13/03 Hello visitor. The SPAM (The SHizz presents acoustic mayhem) went well last night. I really can't express how much I adore Molson Canadian beer. Clever packaging and more bounce per bottle did it for me. Everyone played well and I didn't blow anything up. We're playing with Liberty School in Tucson at the Vaudeville Cabaret this thursday. I hear it's kinda nice....last time we played there we had a snoring contest and I think Jason and John tied. Well not much more to type. Mike

1/10/03 Last night was cool. We went to the alley to see The Winners, Vin Fiz, and Employee of the Moth...An official Shizz Show. I saw lots of people that I haven't seen in a while. It was good to see The Vellum guys, Mike Devine and it's always great to see Julie Peterson. The Shizz is back at the alley this Sunday with an evening of acoustic music. Here are the performers I've corralled (did I spell that cerrect?). James Miles, Lonna, Fred (From Minibosses), Donald Martinez (wINNERS), Gavan Weiser (One Foot in the Grave), Skot, Marconias, Gil Guilllia (Machjockeys and Fatigo), Daily, Brodie Hubbard, World Class Thugs, and Mike Montoya (Fatigo)... and I'm probably forgetting someone but come and see for yerself. ..show starts at 9:30 and it's free. Yes free.

1/5/03 Well we made to Flag and back. If you were there you might've witnessed the magic that was Robin Vining and his squeeze box-bot dance. He actually rocked it so hard the strap broke. After the town went to sleep we managed to prance around the downtown area. It felt like we were on some sort of movie set with real snow . That might explain why we re-enacted the dance routine from MJ's "The way you make me feel" video. Wow....what did I just admit. Ok...I'm ok with that. Our next show is in Tucson with Liberty School. Rock ON!! Mike

1/3/03 Hello visitor. Fatigo is playing at the Montevista in Flagstaff tonight with Robin Vining. Join the caravan of love. Mike

12/31/02 7:50pm A little more than four hours left of the two double O two. I think Fatigo had a good year. We played about forty shows if I counted correctly. I'm pretty sure most of them were a positive on my show gage. Happy new Year to all of my brothers. ...Damian, Alex, Rafi Mario, My sister Gab. Mom and Pops, My bro in law, Phil...Rachel and Bela um and all of my other 3 million relatives. Also happy new year to my Fatigo brothas. Also I can't forget Chris and my xoxchinoe hermanos. STOP it Some MORe!!! Mi amigo Frank and Holly. And last but not least ALL OF THE SHIZZFOLK!!! If I forget anyone...you're not forgotten. Laters MIke

12/20/02 Hello all. I hope everyone is doing well. We thought we'd get a gig in right before Christmas. It's free for all!!! (Not to be mistaken with "a free for all") The show is tonight at the Willow House. It's on Mcdowell and either 3rd ave or 5th...It's one of those things where I know how to get there..but well ok you get it. Rum Tenor is going to start off the night at 9 and then a little gap and then Fatigo. I'm excited about this show ..I haven't see RT in a while and I think it's going to be a beautiful thing. Our first gig in 2003 will be at The Montevista in Flagstaff.on January 3rd with Robin Vining. Rumor has is that he'll be sitting in with Fatigo tonight on 4 songs playing his squeeze-box. I'm pretty skilled at building suspense. If i don't see any of you before Christmas ..have a good one. Thanks for all of the support you've given us in the past year! Peace Mike

12/15/02 Greetings and Salutations. I'm glad you visited our site. My brother Damian once said he hates it when a website admits it's a website. Well...uh welcome to our sector. We will shake the hardwood this friday with Rum Tenor over at the Willow House. The whole deal starts at niner. I bought a cool Mariachi skeleton for my rear view mirror over there...so I'm jumpimg on the whole "Dia de los Muertos" bandwagon. What're you gonna do kill me? RIP Jesse. Mike

12/9/02 Man the Stew show was the cows Moo. It doesn't get any better than Stew getting on stage with you to sing "Rite of Passage". John De La Cruz hit the skins for them on a few songs and nailed it like a pro. The World CLass Thugs set it off proper and rocked it Hawaii- Hillblilly- Core.....um style. Thank you Fun Bobby for the oppurtunity to play with these great bands and thank you Ross. Thank you everyone that came to the show this past weekend. Without you there wouldn't have been a you. Peace Mike

12/6/02 I haven't really had many chances to go to any "Shizz" shows lately. I went to a party that After Any Accident was playing at last week ,but I think they were asked to stop right before I got there. I did see The Ponies from Flagstaff. They were one sweaty mess of GCC*. I managed to listen to a copy of some of the Winners new recordings today while I was at the HQ paying the rent*. I'm truly impressed ....I don't see how Donald can sing while playing all those notes. Mad props go out to The Winnerz. For those of you that haven't acquired one yet...there is a Fatigo sampler (FREE) with "One Block Away" and "White Bear" at Stinkweeds, Zia, And Rockaway Records. I'm pretty stoked on how "WB" came out . Guilia has really stepped up to the plate with his vocal and bass plucking skillz. His new nickname is BC*. Tomorrow (12/7/02) is special. Stew is coming back to play with us at The Hollywood (Ne corner of Baseline and Price) Alley and the World Class Thugs are going to kick it off. There is a rumor that Stew might bring a drummer this time. Not that it would be lacking if he didn't. Rumor has it that he's going to let me beatbox on one of his songs. Rumor also has it that I'm full of it. Anyhooo...the show starts at a prompt 9:30 and Stew is going on at 10:45-ish. We'll be topping it off with our brand of NPC*. See you there people! Mike www.theshizz.org *Garage Carnage Core *Donald where is your rent? *Bloodclot *Nylon Pummel Core

12/1/02 Hello. I got back from my Thanksgiving in NM experience last night. The flight over there is cool ..it's only 55 minutes. Jim Mckay is giving the open mic thing a try at the Alley. Way to go Jim! i actually saw some cool stuff there tonite. Well I go mimis now....happy belated Turkey. Belated Turkey....there's a band name for you Trix. The Stew show is this Saturday!!!!!!!!!

11/24/02 Hello, Fatigo has just put out a free two-song sampler. We gave out about 200 at the Beck concert and there are a few at Stinkweeds and Rockaway Records. The two songs are "One Block Away" (from Pero Los Chivos) and a just finished "White Bear". Thank Yous go out to the first Fatigo Street Team. Thanks for helping us out at the Beck show! Laters Mike

11/17/02 Ok we played at Coffe talk and now we're gonna take a breather till 12/7 which will be a righteous show with Stew and The World Class Thugs. Much thanks to Julie And Georgia for going to see us play with our teeth chattering. I swear, Coffee Talk has the best cocoa. Thank you Mr. Miles for playing. You are truly great...and special props go out to Johnny Bionic for warming us with his Bionic Glow. I haven't had a chance to write about the Liberty School show at the alley so this is it. Thank you LS for coming out here. Sorry the attendance was semi-medium. We'll see you soon and things. I saw a cool band called Goldenboy the other night...Robin Vining opened up and the whole night left me with a good packing-bubbles-popping feeling. This Thursday the Fatigo Street Team (AKA SuperCoolFreedomPosse)take action after the Beck concert. Let me know if you'd like to be a part of this. Laters Mike

11/16/02 I'm sorry if you went to Coffee talk to see us play last night. There was a miscommunicado and we're actually playing there tonite at 8pm. Also performing will be James Miles. It's in downtown Mesa off of main just north of the tallest building in that area...I think it's Hobson...or robson...just look for a very tall building. Peace Mike

11/13/02 Hey folks. Well we survived our first out of state venture. We played in a punk rock performance space in Abq....it was cool ..the punk kids seemed to like us as soon as they convinced themselves they were allowed to. The other bands were great....so full of energy...don't mess with one in particular (Klouse). They're from Jersey and they'll let you know. Much thanks goes to them for hooking us up with the show. Also thank you Jeff for making the proper connections. you rule man. Next time you can sing dilution girl. Thank you Myla for putting us up...I know we can be kinda obnoxious..take care of your cold!!!!!!!! Moving right along......tonight is a mid-week dose of heaven at the Hollywood Alley. Our brothers, Liberty School (from Tucson), are coming to town to do that thing they do. Also performing is Bryan Frazee and us of course. Please come support the madness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I guess that's about it for now. Go buy Stew's Naked Dutch Painter Album!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's the cat's moo!!!!!!!!! Mike www.theshizz.org ....for geometry tutoring

11/6/02 Today is a good day. I have that day after a great show feeling, we got a cool review in th New Times (Thanks Serene), and we're playing in Abq this weekend!! Rock on!!!!!

11/4/02 Hello all. I haven't written much in the journal lately. I guess sometimes It seems like there is so much to read on the shizz that I wanna give your eyes a rest. Come and relax at our site... Anyhoo, things have been going well for Fatigo. I went to Alamogordao NM to visit my parent and wound up getting arrested to to a clerical error at the Alamogordo Municipal court. Then I played for the president (USA) about 6 hours later. Just writing it sounds like a lie. Ok, he wasn't watching while we were playing ,bubt the secret service was...maybe they'll tell him about our performance. It's weird how I wind up doing these patriotic things by accident (see 9/12/02 entry). I must be making up for quitting the scouts in fourth grade. I just felt like the scout master was taking it wayyyy to seriously. I remember we went camping and I took my walkman and was getting down to Whodini (Freaks come out at night) and he was like "Lose the ear gear son." I was like "aww he thinks he's bad". So ...uh speaking of Whodini.... We're opening for Floater tomorrow night. They're a cool band from Eugene. This is happening at the blessed Hollywood Alley at 9:30 pm. I know it's a weeknight ,but it's time to break the rulzzzzzz! Also another historical moment-Fatigo goes national. We are playing in Albuquerque NM on Saturday night thanks to my friend Jeff over there. We're playing at somewhere called Amethyst Luna for those of you making the drive (my family). I believe we'replaying at 9pm and the whole show starts at 8pm. It's an all ages venue. Ok I think that's that. P.S thank you eotm for the Lucky Dragon show. We had a good time. Laters Mike

11/2/02 Hello and happy "Dia de Los Muertos" (Day of the Dead) RIP Tio Jesse & Cuz Raymond. Mike

10/23/02 Hey guys I know most of you just saw us at The Paper Heart ,but we're playing at the Modified tomorrow night and we usually like to look cooler at that place. I'll gaze at my toes and stuff and I'll wear a shirt that's to small. We're playing at a nice pleasant 9:30 so come witness the magic. Mexican*Or*DIE

10/20/02 Ok I'm still feeling the glow from last nite....Don't you guys love the feeling that you wake up to the morning after a good show. It was great to see The Budget kids rock on with their new drummer. Go get it Baraldi.!Thanks for letting me use your amp Donald. Man, World Class Thugs just kicked major butt. I totally dug that new song they played..it was kinda like a waltz. Jocelyn you rule!! Adam Scaniello kicked butt to! I'm so stoked my dad played with us. It's always so inspiring to watch him. He makes it look so easy. i'm glad you guys got to witness that! Laters Mike

10/19/02 We're playing at the Paper Heart Art Gallery tonite with a bunch of bands that kick a camels ass. Here's the Line-up: THE BUDGET SINATRA FATIGO WORLD CLASS THUGS VELVETEEN DREAM VIC MASTERS ADAM SCANNIELLO The show starts at 8pm and we are donating the cover ($5) to Arizona Animal Welfare League. (a no-kill animal shelter). The Paper Heart is at 222 N 5th Ave Phoenix Phn 602 262 2020. It's on the sw corner of 5th ave & Van Buren. Don't miss it holmes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! word Mike www.theshizz.org

10/16/02 I take that back! Thanks for changing the bio Donald! Mike

10/16/02 Hello visitor. Ignore the Bio ....it is all wrong ...But we're glad you came! "Find a place and we'll go...it's not like we don't a cha cha chaaaaaaaa" (Travolta-7/8 song) Later Mike

10/14/02 Yes it's true.... fatigo is playing from noon to one at Patriots square in downtown Phoenix. I can honestly say this will be the most expensive P.A system fatigo has ever played through. This is happening today 10/14/02 so tell your friends with the suits to go get a sandwich and chill with the transients to the tune of "White Bear". Laters Mike P.S Feliz Colombo

10/9/02 Go to Nita's 2nite and rock with Lulu in Hollywood, Fatigo, Employee of the Moth, and Dick Sinister and the Sinister Dicks.

As the Stew show nears and the new cool weather blows gentle across my brow. I look at the stars and sing something very similiar to the Ariel melody in Disney's "Little Mermaid". AAA AAA AAA. Saturday night!!!!!!!!!!! Welcome back our brothas from Tucson, "LIBERTY SCHOOL", and get down with "STEW"!!! You will not leave disappointed. Oh yeah Fatigo is playing to. Show starts @ 9Pm at The Hollywood Alley. LAterals Mike

9/28/02 Hello visitor. Welcome. Last night we played at Coffe Talk in Mesa. It was crazy. The stage is outside and we were subjected to wind and rain and I was pretty sure electrocution was gonna pay us a little visit. I was surprised that most of the people watching stayed outside throughout the storm. Skot opened uo the show and I have to give him mad props that brotha is mega-talented. If you haven't seen him before, you need to. He thumps cool hip-hop-esque beats with his thumb and pinkie while he sings and plays. Yes it doesn't suck. Much thanks to the birthday girl Kristen and her mom and sis for braving the storm with us. Afterwards we went to The Hollywood Alley to catch AAA ,but they had already played. It was still cool hanging out with those folks and we made off with some of their hip ne stickers. The night before we played at Chasers for the for the first time with Wasting July. I think I like playing there..especially because we got free beer. What two words have a better ring than those two? I challenge anyone.....Anyhow.....Our next show is monstroso!! it is 10/5/02 at The Hollywood Alley with Liberty School (oh my gosh what can I say ,but Oh my gosh...yes....yes..oh ahah ahah) US (fatigo), and Stew (from the Negro problem). I totally look up to Liberty and Stew because they make me go home and slap myself silly and yell at myself in the mirror...and then write songs. Don't miss this show ya'll. I don't think it'll come out on video! peace Mike

9/25/02 2 AM I think the fatigo one year anniversary is coming up. At least the second one is. The first one I think passed us...See Fatigo had two "conceptions" if you will...The first line up was BUrke (minibosses),Wood (Minibosses), Martinez (Winners & Budget Sinatra ,but at that time just fatigo), De La Cruz (Him & I were in Vin Fiz at that time), and Me (Montoya. We only had like 4 or five songs ,but it took so long to switch instruments between songs and grab our shakers and rattles and Kazoos (seriously) that we managed to fill up half an hour of earth-time. Anyways, I get kinda misty eyed thinking about those days. I think I have one recording of our last practice before Fatigo's first hiatus. Wow we're such a new band and we already have a history. Anyways, that's enough of mushy me. Laters Mike

9/17/02 Happy Birthday Trix!!!!! I'm so proud of you!!! Let's take off those training wheels now. You can keep the tassles!!!!............and the bell ding ding!! Mike

9/12/02 It's the day after 911 day. Yesterday I had to help do sound for a short speech the mayor did outside of city hall (Phoenix). He was just about to start his speech when both the AZ and the US flag that were to his right and left fell over. It was kinda windy and they weren't weighted properly. Anyways, since I'm pretty quick on my feet i rescued the US flag just after (*nqe) it hit the ground. Then the bagpiper started playing amazing grace and stuff, cameras are rolling, there is at least a hundred people gathered and I'm standing there holding a flag with a "should I just stand here with a flag?" look on my face. Finally these police officers came over and held the flags and I was grateful. It was awkward ,but I think that was the most patriotic thing I've ever done....well besides being voted little mister Christmas...oh wait that has nothing todo with being patriotic. Ok I'm an ass. Ask the mayor. Anyways, thank you to everyone that went to our Hollywood Alley Show on Tuesday Nite. Colorstore hypnotized everyone, Wasting July clobbered the stage and all was well. This sunday is the Shizz presents acoustic MAYHEM at The Alley. Lots of great songwriters are going to strut their stuff. Will someone ask Donald Martinez if he's going to play? I lost his cell number. LAter Mike

9/9/2002 9:26 AM Wow I actually get a chance to journal in this journal. So the last two Fatigo shows have left me with a pleasant, not unlike cotton-candy, taste in my mouth. The one on 8/30 was cool ...there was a bronto-ton of people there and The Budget Sinatra, Braeburn, and 15 mins fast all rocked and rizznolled. Gill (our new bassist) is working out so great. He's so enthusiastic about playing and I'm mega-stoked on him. The last minute show with Colorstore @ The Emerald on wednesday was great. I belive it was Fatigo's first time playing there as a band. The vibe was so great and stuff.....This tuesday we're playing at the Hollywood Alley with Colorstore, Subsonic, and some other band. Subsonic is from Cali so come support them and buy some tacos while you're at it. Later Hi Matt Mike

8/4/02 FATIGO W/ COLORSTORE @ tHE EMERALD LOUNGE 2NITE YA'LLLLLLLLL. lATER MIKE

8/20/02 6:07pm Today I watched ants crawl into a cup of soda .......... I threw away a sock, then I found it's mate in a puddle of Angel-pee. I didn't do it because of the Margarita's ...I would have done it for the nookie.............I cried a tear......you wiped it dry....I was confused.....you cleared my mind.....Thank you Matt.....I know someone with a plant.......fee fie foe fum. Laters Mike

8/19/02 7:12 Location: AT WORK Yo Ya'll remember when Vanilla Ice used to say YUP YUP YUP! Is'nt that funny? Like Trixie said, "The summer is almost over!!!" It's funny, I can actually feel the motivation slowly ebbing it's way back into my limbs, brain, and anti-gravity device. Starting in March, the last few months really beat the folofo outta me. Three deaths in the family mixed with oppressive heat with a topping of more heat. Anyways, I see success on the horizon. Send messenger pigeon. We're on our way. Apologies to the Minibosses and Hotfought Cold for not attending their events this past weekend. Even though it's not on the calendar, Braeburn, Lonna, and The World Class Thugs are playing at the Velveteen Dream CD release party at The Emerald Lounge this Friday. I think it's time for a Shizz party.....any ideas anyone? Later Mike

8/11/02 Man just for the record. I honestly feel like I didn't kick Matt Wood out of the band (confused? check the Winners journal)Anyways, Thursday @ Nita's was cool. Thank you Lonna for the Emergency GIT. It howled like something really...all howliful and stuff. Scram jet played a tearful last show. Minardi walked around all somber-like and the bass player-I like to call him Clumsy- was all cheerful with his goodbyes. AAA of course rocked which made me a little sad because I haven't seen them play that much lately so I snuck over to the Lucky Dragon the next night to try and get my fill. The Vinegar Sting was cool..they kinda seem like they have a twitch or ...well I don't know how to explain it . The guitarist had a TRAVOLTAS shirt and I traded one of my best *TSF's for it. Donald (Winners) and I were in a band called Travolta...for a history lesson go to www.angelfire.com/az/travoltafied. Anyways, I miss my parents-well my family in general. I think this is the longest i've ever been away from them. Thanks to you all for supporting Fatigo. Especially Jimmy from the Grotto. It was good to see you! Later Mike * Thrift Store Find

7/31/02 Greetings. Fatigo will be playing at Nita's Hideaway on thursday 8/8. Bring a loved one or even a kinda liked one or just a person to stand by. Also, eat at The Muse cause I said so. Later bock bock Mike

A special little squeeze goes out to Matt Wood from the Minibosses for wearing those pants. He was satiny smoooth as uh....well....satin. Hey Matt we should play guitars together soon. Later Mike P.S Fatigo has shirts for sale!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PPS BUDGET SINATRA ROCKED LIKE A HURRICANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

7/27/02 Tonight's the night!!!!!!!!!!Come please your ears your eyes and your stomach at the Hollywood Alley YA'll. Fatigo, Rum Tenor, and The Budget Sinatra. And the premiere of "Yo Como mis Primos?" Don't be kicking the dirt and yourself tomorrow wishing you had been there. Don't do it!!!!!!! See you there. Llama goiter ya later! Mike

7/22/02.................WAAAAAAAAA BYE BYE DERRICK AND AMY (AKA BRIEFCASE). I'LL REMEMBER 7/20/02 FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

7/20/2002 Well today is going to be a bitter-fun day. The members of Briefcase are having there official going away party. After lots and lots of deliberation, I've decided to wear my Liberty School T-shirt. This friday we're playing at the Arizona center with Lonna and on Saturday at the Hollywood Alley with Rum Tenor, The Budget Sinatra, and we'll be treated to the premiere of Yo como mis primos?. A film by Brian Elser. I hear that Rum Tenor's music is in there as well as ours. I've really been re-discovering that show Cheers lately. Heat go away. Bye Mike

7/6/02 11:54am Hello and welcome to my little cozy corner of the Shizz. I'm listening to Employee of the Moth's demo right now and I'm so blown away. You have to get one. The show at the Hollywood alley was great. It's nice seeing After Any Accident and The Minibosses on that stage...that was the first stage John and I saw both of those bands on....It was during a time when John was drowning his backwards hat sorrows. See- he got dumped by this beautiful girl , but later we found out she was made out of old smelly banana peels so things got better. Yesterday at work I hid in this big bin with a gorilla mask on and scared the crap out of my boss. It was funny cause she hit my friend Chris when she screamed. One other time that I scared her she had a pair of scissors in her hand and almost stabbed me. My friend Chris and I had an idea for a reality show where we get John Delacruz drunk (big challenge) and follow him around with a camera while he tries to pick up on girls. Anyways. i've gotta bolt. My boss is having a Luau and I don't have a Hawaian shirt. Check the calendar ya'll!

7/3/02 7pm Happy Fourth of July eve. I hope your rockets glare red. Wow, a lot going on in the next few days. I'm working on a song that is part of "the white bear saga". I can't think of a better name right now. I'm kinda glad I have this journal. Every other journal I've had, I've eventually torn up for fear of someone reading it. This is good to have...If I at least write in here once a week I'll be proud of myself. Then when I get enough entries, I'll print 'em all out on some egyptian looking paper, put it in a "Never ending story" looking leather book-cover, pee on it and shelf it. Then one day I can give it to my grandson and say "Y'know, I once peed on this journal....and now it's yours." Everyone go check out the Alley tomorrow. After Any Accident, The Minibosses, and Employee of the Moth will drop flava with the quickness. This sounds like it will be the perfect show. Don't miss it. On friday Braeburn will rock whatever is left of the same stage and on Sunday we'll simmer down with "THE SHIZZ PRESENTS ACOUSTIC MAYHEM!!!!!" with Fatigo, Briefcase, Lonna and Smith. Don't miss it ya'll! word Mike

6/30/02 1:36 PM It was a nice surprise seeing so many people at the Paper Heart this friday. Especially at 8pm. My Cochino Brothers came in full force to support ....and drink. All of the bands (The sweetbleeders, Briefcase, The World Class Thugs) put on spectacular sets. Who could ask for a more perfect night. Thank you Lonna, Jen, and Barbara for helping out. We've thrown together a last minute show on July 7th at the Hollywood Alley. Official performers will be Fatigo, Briefcase, Lonna, and Smith. Sow starts at 9pm ya'll. BOC! JTC!b Gill is in the band!!!!!!! Mike

6/26/02 6:35 pm My brother Damian sent me this:i thought of a band name instead of fatigo. The "Pieces of paper" or "papal lunacy"or " strawberry porncake"or "several sex" or "elation equation" ickyor "ass pocket"or "keeble"or "stanzadrop" or "The excess"take your pick while they are hot.

6/27/02 12:23 AM Tomorrow I don't work till 4:30pm so even tho' my body is tired my mind and heart want to stay up and watch Conan Obrien. I've decided to keep the discp thermos. I'm sad that Amy and Derek (Briefcase are leaving). Everyone come say goodbye this friday at the Paper Heart. Does anyone have an "I pooped my pants" story that can top mine. Lets see what you got....visit the message board. Peace Mike

June 22, 2002 12:01 PM Wow it looks like I'm actually ahead of everyone on the whole journal thing. Do I get a prize? Yesterday I stayed in all day. I only stepped outside when it was nice and dark...I was really craving a fish burrito from filibertos. Does anybody know if Listerine stains? I think my voice is coming back. In between coughing up phlegm balls I try to sing a note or two. It sounds kinda like a duet between me and Redd Foxx. Anyways I have a news item. Fatigo has started recording the new album. Don't worry this won't distract from Freepilation. That is near the ready to eat Jello stage. Man I a dorkee! peace Mike

June 20 12:23 pm Hello all! Last night I felt a scratching in my throat, but went to an open mic at a place called coffee talk in downtown Mesa anyways. Yikes ...big mistake i was really humbled by a whispery cracking sound coming outta my sound-hole. I made a few apologies to the audience and got off the stage. I've just figured out that there is an open-mic every night of the week except for friday. Here is the run-down: Monday at Joe's Grotto, Tuesday at Essenza, wednesday at Coffee Talk, Thursday at Undici. I don't know of any on fri and saturdayor sunday. So I'm home sick from work today. I Love Lucy is playing in the background. RICKY RICARDO ROCKS!!!! Man we had an awesome show at the Modified with the Sweetbleeders and Garret on Monday. It was such a great night I felt the glow from it the whole next day. It felt like a weekend show because there were alot of people there. Thanks to everyone that stuck around to see us. Thanks Robin for having us. Does anyone want to go play paint-ball? Well, I'm going to go find some food. Matt...your home sounds like a nice place......for me to poop on. Man I think I'm losing it. Lonna I have a disco thermos that I never use.Peace

06/13/02 Well lemme see. I'll start this entry off by saying that when it's cold here I never say "I can't wait till summer!!!!" I know people that do and I tell them to shut-up and EAD. Y'know Matt Wood says he came up with EAD ,but I know for a fact that me and my little brother Damian invented that. I also have four other little brothers...there is Mario he's the youngest...he's at the quiet, attitudal age of 16,Rafi just turned 20 he is a jock and an awesome musician...kinda like Marty Miller ,but I'm pretty sure Rafi likes girls, Alex is 22 and he is a mega-jock. I think he's the funniest one. When Donald and I lived in Alamogordo we had this really tall tree and Alex would climb to the top and fall out of it on purpose without hurting himself. I don't know how he did it. And my brother Damian is 23 now..he is a music virtuoso and a really good daddy and husband. He can play the ass off of a piano. Then there is my older sister.....she's a lot cooler now. When we were younger all she wanted to to was read so I would take her bookmark out when she wasn't looking or fart in her book or both. Doing both was called the combo. I just found out my cousin Raymond died from an OD. Once when I was younger Raymond was on top of our motor-home and I was standing on the ground and he peed on me. I was mad back then, but now it's a funnuy story. RIP Raymond! Mike

JUNE-9-2002 mANNA FROM THE HEAVENS 2 Today I stepped on 10,00 red goodbyes, eyes raise to sky-shadow,workers their lives no more, "None of us hate life, some of us love our job, the sugar-trail remains, the sugar trail beckons..and mother is safe now, taken to start a farm, nestled in walls of plastic, no Easter troops to arm" Her workers necks are weak, their meals are sprinkled in, eyes peer through walls like gods, and disappear in steam. And hieroglyphics form from giant sausage forms....and disappear as well, no message read. And disappear no message read.

6/8/02 LAST MINUTE ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!!!!FATIGO IS DOING AN ACOUSTIC SET AT 9PM AT UNDICI UNDICI TONIGHT. LOCATION IS LONGMORE AND SOUTHERN JUST NORTH OF SOUTHERN ON THE EAST SIDE OF YOUR HEAD IF YOUR BUTT IS FACING SOUTH. SEE YA THERE. BOCK BOCK SQUAWK!

06/07/02 2:50 pm Greetings friend. This weather has really sucked the motivation right outta me. Just the thought of typing a complete sentence feels like jogging on a trampolene while carrying weights. Try it sometime. Anyhow, I have good news-we raised $260 dollars at the last show for the guitars for kids. Thank you everyone that came to the show and made it a good time. Fatigo isn't really doing much as far as shows in June. We're going to start recording our next cd and we're trying out someone on bass geetar. We are doing a show at the modified on June 17th with Robin Vining (The Sweetbleeders) and Garrett (formerly of Rusty Jones). We're probably gonna do it all Extreme style with a stool and gentle stories between songs. I'm a few steps closer to finishing freepilation. Maybe I'm making it more complicated than it should be...anyways. Thanks for liking Fatigo. BOCK BOCK SQUAWK! Mike

GEORGIA RULES!!!!!THANKS FOR THE ARTICLE!!!!!!!!! mIKE

6/5/02 Sorry I had to cut out so quick yesterday. Muchos ojos aqui en mi trabajo. I recorded the phoenix city jazz band today. Went to BOOMBOX last night. And tonight is the Winners recording session. Thanks to everyone that played this past weekend Lonna, Sweetbleeders, Winners..I think the heat is really cooking my brain. Hey Matt you are swell. Ok Bye....I write more later. Peace Mike

06/04/2002 Well hello. I'm at work right now and we're not supposed to be using the computer for things like journals and things. I feel like this was a good weekend the Fatigo employees felt like they didn't play very well at the alley friday, but I guess everyone had fun. I feel so unclever right now. I'll never read Lonna or Matts journal entry before i start mine again.....here comes bossy....more in a sec!

I LOVE YOU JOHN AND CHRISTINE

05/28/02 6:33pm..................................... Right off the bat let me apologize to The Budget Sinatra for not going to their show this past weekend. I got off work to late so knowing that Braeburn was headlining at Undici, I headed straight over there since I had never seen them play before. They were great. Merilee can really belt it out and Ben is awesome with his Queen-style leads. Oh and Joey...prrrrrrraaa pa paprrr paprrrrrrrrrr...he's an awesome drummer. Something tells me Fatigo and Braeburn may be teaming up pretty soon. I also got to catch the last two songs of World Class Thugs set and can say that it made me even more excited to play with them on June 28th. Man, it seems like Arizona is finally showing some originality. I know alot of people we have dscovered have been playing for a long time. But it's cool to see people actually performing, and then actually sticking around to appreciate other people's music. Rock ON! Sorry I missed your Undici set Lonna and I hope you're feeling better. Speaking of infirmities..... If everyone can keep Amy from Briefcase in their prayers, she isn't feeling well. We miss you Briefcase!!! Well there are a few things going on this weekend. Trixie Delish is heading off to Cali to see the Red and White Stripes. Be safe Trix! The Minijotos are doing a live internet show from the Modified, and Faigo is playing at the Hollywood Alley with Lonna, The Winners and The Sweetbleeders. We're trying to raise funds at this show to buy guitars for underprivelaged kids so come and support La Cauza (the cause). On Saturday night, Fatigo is playing at Nita's Hideaway with The Sweetbleeders for a poetery Slam. It sounds like a big barrel O fun. Well I guess that's about it for now. If you haven't heard The Cardigans first album LIFE, go get it. Yes...ear candy. If you can't find it...let me know. Me Burnee burnee for you. Peace! Mike

5/25/02Before you read this journal entry, go read Lonna's and come back..............Today i reminded myself that 'everyone loves to see the girl toot. So later in the evening when i was frolicking the stage in a 50's gown singing 'Doe Ray Me Fa Sew La Te Do' i remembered what i should be doing. i tooted. i tooted because, damn when a girl gets drunk, sometimes anything can sound like a good thing. So there i was at Nita's tooting away in a comedy piece Vic Masters from the Torch Bearers put on after their show earlier in the evening, which i have to say, was pure gum ball entertainment/ Ricki Ricardo-ish. Unfortunately i missed a good portion of it. i got caught up in the other show which took place in the girl's bathroom. we blocked the door with a trash can and if you want any more info you'll have to talk to the girl's themselves. in the end i was tooting because my mom always told me- when all else fails- just pretend. And when i do pretend.... life for moment can seem.....sweet.

5/19/2002 11:48pm and counting................. Well this was quite a weekend. Fatigo rented their first Daywooo or first car for that matter. We survived our show in Tucson and were happy to see some friends over there. Thank you Darrell for putting us up. Sorry bout the snoring...It's part of our creative process....that and drinking ourselves to sleep. I always love visiting Tucson because it reminds me of Albuquerque. Albuquerque and I have a love-hate relationship....as does deoderant and Jason Gray. Anyhow, I had a great time and we only screwed up two songs. VIVA FATIGO!!!!!! Mike

Hello all. This is an important weekend for us at CAMPFatigo. We're doing our first out of town gig. Thanks to Liberty School for taking us to that plateau. Next thing you know we'll be doing weddings!! Good luck to The Minibosses. They're playing in L.A this weekend at the Smell with The F$#@#$ing Champs. If you're in the area go check it. My friend Jason Brandt lives over there. He played on the Fatigo CD. HEY JASON HOW COME WE DIDN'T HANG OUT LAST TIME YOU VISITED????!!! MAKE IT UP TO ME BY GOING TO THE MINIBOSSES SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyways, we're playing with Liberty School and The Hammertoes at Club Congress in Tucson on Friday night. I'm looking forward to that and things. Other stuff going on: FREEPILATION is almost near the near completion stage. It's going to be a "potpurri", if you will, of great songwriters and bands. I wanted to have one song on the comp with all of the artists singing together a la "we are the world" ,but I think getting everyone in the same room at the same time will be impossible. Of course I could have people overdub stuff ,but I really think a project like that needs video footage with tambourines shaking and back-slapping. AUGGH I really shouldn't have the freedom to type anything I want here. Ok folks...stay swell!!! Mike

5/13/2002 Hello visitor. This past weekend was surprisingly spicy. I went to that party that everyone's talking about and saw everything everyone else saw and it was insane and stuff so that's all I have to say about that. Fatigo took part in the craziness by tackling a complete stranger and then throwing grass on him. Don't wory...no one was hurt. I'd like to thank St Ides for giving us all a unique perspective on things ...like nake people on roofs and stuff. I'l like to thank all the troopers that supported the Viscious Songwriter Deal. It was so hot in that room and no one left. True fans! Wow! Peace Mike

5/9/2002 Well. Hmmmmmm. There were a few things I know I had to write ,but they elude me all of a sudden. Um......the Freepilation is almost complete. The Vanity Set recorded their song a few days ago and it sounds shizztacular. We still haven't found a new bass player for the band so if you know someone please send the person our way. This saturday is THE VISCIOUS SONGWRITER DEAL at the Muse coffee shop in Tempe. I believe it's on Terrace between University and Apache and is from 9pm-11pm. Here are some of the performers: Mike Little, Lonna, Johnny Bionic, The Vanity Set, Jim, Fatigo, World Class Thugs and Juan Tejeda. Oh yeah it's on Saturday, May 11th. It should be a nice cafeine buzz of a time. Just letting you know that there is no alchohol at the Muse so with that make your neccesary arrangements. Man, I was looking at the Calendar and all the bands that are on the Shizz and it really amazes me how fast things are happening..like bands forming and things like that. It's cool cause when I moved here a few years ago, we had a hard time finding bands that we related to. Now it's one big bag of love. Of course I can never forget Fluidrive. Those brothas hooked us up with shows right away and they rock with the quickness and hardness. Ok enough. Laters Mike

5/3/02 MUSIC SNOB QUOTE OF THE DAY: "Oh..........3wk. Yeah it's cool ,but the first day they were on the air was the coolest day ever because they broadcasted in braille and exposed a witch and well it's hard to explain the rest and you wouldn't get it anyway." IF YOU ARE OR KNOW A MUSIC SNOB. E-MAIL US A QUOTE AND BE PART OF THE FUN!!!!!!!! weeeeeee!

MAY 2,2002 WELCOME AND STUFF. FATIGO IS PLAYING AT THE HOLLYWOOD ALLEY TONIGHT FOR INCESTIVAL WITH BRAEBURN, THE WINNERS, AND BRIEFCASE. BE THERE!

April 27th, 2002 Well last night was interesting. Has anyone ever had Steel Reserve malt liquor. If you have then you know whassup. The Vanity Set played awesomely and someone managed to push their Baritone guitar player, Donald Martinez into the wading pool. Anyhow, since I'm sitting at work doing nothing period. I thought I'd write something here in this little box. The long awaited Freepilation (a self burnt, packaged and buttered compilation of Mike Montoya's favorite bands) is almost done. We're just waiting on 3 or 4 more bands to get their stuff in. Here is the almost certain line-up: The Sweetbleeders Lonna Kelley Mike Little Buzz Lightyear Liberty School Aaron Burke After Any Accident Johnny Bionic and The Lamos The Winners The Vanity Set Briefcase Juan Tejeda Trois Pistole The Minibosses Fatigo So far what I've heard sounds awesome and it's gonna be nice having all these people on one CD. Well that's all for now! Peace Mike

Well I have to admit the I was a little jealous that WOMB won the Eclectic category award for the New Times showcase. That jealousy pales in comparison to the feeling I had when I arrived at the Alley the night of the awards ceremony ,at 11pm, to my bandmates prancing around, drunk off of the free beer. Yes "left out" would be to words that would, simply yet accurately, describe me as I stared at my first beer of the night. See, I had to work that night so like, I think I'll plan ahead next year if we're asked to play again. I was able to scrounge a few left over deviled-eggs and I'm grateful for that! Congrats WOMB and thank you everyone that voted for us and went to see us....for reals. And thank you New Times staff and Gilbert G. Fatigo's next show is at The Hollywood Alley (price and baseline) on May 2nd for Incestifest (I had nothing to do with the name). Basically, all of the bands playing are somehow connected and Donald Martinez went to the touble of making a diagram that spells it out at www.theshizz.org . I actually don't think the name is valid anymore since band lineup changes in the past few months have changed and broken a few of the links. But still go to the site and check out the bands because they're my favorites. If you have a band that doesn't suck and you'd like to be included on the site, let Donald know. He is the shizz-man. Speaking of Donald...if you or anyone you know plays bass or guitar and isn't a slapper or a wanker (shredder), let me know 'cause Fatigo's bass player Donald Dinoballs Martinez is going to focus on his band The Winners and his other band The Vanity set and his other band The Ass-Pants. I wish him the best of luck and stuff.

Hello all. First I'd like to thank Masta D for setting up this journal deal. I'd like to wish him all the best (DIE!! DIE!!! DIE) in his path to rock and roll (DON'T LEAVE US...I WAS KIDDING ABOUT THAT DIE DIE DIE STUFF....REALLY) ecstasy. Donald is an awesome musician (ASSMUNCH) and a valued friend as well. Laters MIke Montoya
